Department profile: The bioplastics team is working within the SABIC Innovation and Venturing Department and is part of SABICs Technology and Innovation (T&I) Department. The primary activity of the bioplastics team is the development of innovative and sustainable products. The work will be concentrated in The Netherlands (Geleen-Sittard and Bergen op Zoom) and part will take place in Dresden and hold strong interlinks with USA and Asia This team is looking for you in case you feel challenged by the responsibilities and qualifications described below. The Challenge To develop in depth understanding of customer needs and expectations. The ability to think creatively and develop bioplastics solutions for the film and other (packaging) industries. Lead the New Product Introductions and execute technology programs to drive short and long term business growth strategy in close cooperation with our (potential) customers. Responsible for product approvals to international standards in the bioplastics industry. Provide technical leadership supporting the implementation of bioplastics products and working closely with other functions and strategic business units within SABIC. Liaise technology support and manufacturing to help troubleshoot and optimize performance. Ensure effective interaction and communication across functions and to business management. Improve the ecological footprint of new developed products. Your Profile Qualifications/requirements: Master of Science or Batchelor+ in Polymer Science & Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science. Able to drive profitable product line growth by owning product positioning. Knowledge of polymer fundamentals and polymer processing. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Other language skills are advantageous. A high-energy personality with the ability to identify and lead innovative opportunities. Team player being able to drive and operate in cross-functional and remote teams. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously. Travelling is required. Other skills: Ability to communicate ideas effectively and develop relationships in technical and commercial environments. Owns competitive assessment for defined products and industries.
